A Los Angeles judge has doubled Lindsay Lohan's bail to $200,000 after finding the actress violated the terms of her release.

The judge hasn't said what exactly the violation was, but says her decision was made after receiving "results" issued by a court-ordered alcohol monitor.

A person familiar with the case tells The Associated Press the violation was reported after the actress appeared at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday.

Lohan has been required to wear the ankle monitor since she missed a court hearing in May. She's due back in court early next month, when the judge will decide whether Lohan violated her probation.

The actress has been on probation since August 2007 after pleading guilty to misdemeanor drug charges and no contest to three driving charges.
