CORONA — Firefighters are making good progress against a 30-acre brush fire in western Riverside County near Corona.
Authorities say the fire is 50 percent contained with full containment expected by midnight. It broke out about 2 p.m. Wednesday south of State Route 91, burning in light fuels at a rapid rate.
Riverside County crews have been joined by firefighters from Orange County, the Cleveland National Forest and city of Corona.
Temperatures are in the upper 70s with 17 mph winds and 34 percent relative humidity.
No injuries have been reported and no structures are threatened.
