Claremont police are investigating after a burned body was found at the scene of a freeway brushfire.
California Highway Patrol officers spotted the fire in bushes off the eastbound Interstate 210 at around 4 a.m. Tuesday.
The fire was quickly put out but authorities discovered a burned body and called Claremont police to investigate.
Authorities aren't saying whether it was a man or woman.
It's also unclear what caused the fire and whether the person was dead before it started.
Claremont is about 40 miles east of Los Angeles.
