A small brush fire in the hills next to Dodger Stadium north of downtown Los Angeles has been knocked down in about an hour.
Fire Department spokesman Devin Gales says the blaze burned about an acre of brush in Elysian Park Saturday. Crews used water-dropping helicopters against the flames.
The fire produced a plume of smoke visible from downtown freeways and to fans watching the Dodgers take on the New York Mets.
No structures were threatened and no damage or injuries were reported.
Gales says the fire was in the general area of a three-acre blaze that broke in the park Friday.
