Los Angeles doctor says patient deaths aren't her fault

A Los Angeles-area doctor who lost her license to prescribe drugs says she's not to blame for the overdose deaths of her patients.

Hsiu-Ying Lisa Tseng of Rowland Heights tells the Los Angeles Times that she did nothing wrong and there's nothing she can do if a patient decides to take a month's supply of drugs in a day.

Tseng's office was raided Wednesday and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration suspended her certificate to prescribe controlled substances, calling her "an imminent danger to public health and safety."

Authorities say Tseng's office was linked to two overdose deaths. The Los Angeles Times reports she was the prescribing physician in six other cases that ended with overdoses or suicides.
