You have one week to enter a red carpet lottery. The winners will be very close to the actors who appear at next year’s Academy Awards at the Kodak Theatre.
Online registration begins today and ends Sunday night at 9. Only 700 bleacher seats are available along the red carpet, so time is of the essence. In recent years, as many as 200,000 fans have applied for those coveted viewing spots online.
Lottery winners will get to watch the stars and honored guests as they arrive for the Academy Awards ceremony. They’ll also score invitations to watch the telecast at a nearby private location.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences plans to announce lottery winners at the end of the month. They’ll have to submit additional info for final approval – and, if they live outside the Southland, they’ll have to cover their own travel and lodging costs.
To register, go online to Oscars.org/bleachers.
