2 arrested for allegedly hiring illegal immigrants at Oxnard plant

Immigration authorities have arrested a father and son for allegedly hiring illegal immigrants at their Oxnard metal casting shop.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says Wayne Haddox, the owner of Masters in Metal, Inc., and Dennis Haddox, the company's vice president, were arrested Thursday.

ICE investigators say Masters in Metal employed 16 people with fake green cards and was told to fire them. Investigators say they later found that two workers stayed on the payroll after Wayne Haddox told them to get "good" Social Security numbers.

The men were charged with knowingly hiring undocumented aliens. Each faces up to six months in prison if convicted.
