Two white supremacists who ran in Inland Empire board races lost by wide margins.

Riverside plumber Jeff Hall was hoping to gain a seat on the Western Riverside Municipal Water District on a platform of water conservation and green jobs. Hall heads the California chapter of the National Socialist Movement, one of the nation’s largest Neo-Nazi organizations.

Hall claims he was not seeking a larger platform for his white supremacist views. He told KPCC he might run for public office again. Hall was soundly defeated by incumbent Tom Evans.

In Rialto, avowed white supremacist Dan Schruender lost his bid for a seat in the predominantly black and Latino Rialto Unified School District. Schruender, who claims to be a former school teacher, was running unopposed until a few months ago when several other candidates joined the race.
