Hundreds of Los Angeles youth turned out for this past weekend's One Nation Hip Hop Summit at Santa Monica High.
The event allowed aspiring young artists to interact with leaders in the hip-hop industry. Youth and adults alike learned how music can build bridges between communities.
Some of those youth spoke about what hip hop culture means to them.
The Summit was organized by the Pico Youth and Family Center and other organizations.
