Netflix and Disney have reached a deal. It'll deliver more ABC and Disney television programs to Netflix subscribers.
Netflix has 16 million subscribers. For about 8 bucks a month, they can watch movies and TV shows streamed over the Web. So a lot of customers are skipping the DVDs in red envelopes that made the company famous.
The deal with Disney will allow those subscribers to stream episodes from past seasons of ABC hits like “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Desperate Housewives” and “Ugly Betty” – and shows from the Disney Channel and ABC Family, too.
The licensing agreement is good for a year. It also includes Disney movies like “High School Musical” and “Camp Rock.”
