Los Angeles police have arrested a South Korean teenager after a school fight that may have caused the death of a fellow exchange student.
Los Angeles police say the 17-year-old was arrested Thursday for investigation of assault after 19-year-old Jin Su Lee died at a hospital.
Authorities say Lee and the other South Korean had an ongoing dispute and traded blows in a brief fight Tuesday at First Lutheran High School in Sylmar, an area of the San Fernando Valley.
Lee suffered head injuries.
Police spokesman Richard French says the other teen, who's not being identified because of his age, was taken to juvenile hall and possibly could face a murder charge. However, French says prosecutors have deferred filing any charges until an autopsy can determine what killed Lee.
