Some downtown LA streets closed Friday for firefighter funeral

Select streets will be closed in downtown Los Angeles Friday, starting at 6 a.m., for the funeral of Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter Glenn Allen.

Main Street will be closed between Second Street and Temple Street, Temple Street will be closed from Los ANgeles Street to Grand Street and Hill Street will be closed from First Street to Ord Street (local access only at Hill St. and First St., north to parking facilities).

The Highway 110 Southbound Hill Street exit ramp will also close, starting at 6:30 a.m.

The Department of Transportation is encouraging people visiting downtown L.A. to use public transportation. Streets will reopen at 1 p.m.
