Hundreds of police and federal agents swept down on homes Thursday morning in a sweep targeting a South Los Angeles gang.
The multi-agency task force arrested more than three dozen people, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said.
State and federal arrest warrants were served at dozens of locations for suspected gang members accused of crimes.
Prisoners were booked at a command center at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
Eighty people were arrested during a similar sweep last month that targeted a San Pedro gang.
Similar raids this month in Sacramento and Central California ended with more than 30 arrests.
