Free tree debris pick-up services to be offered in unincorporated communities

A fallen tree has been chopped up and moved to the sidewalk to clear roads on Green St., Pasadena, Calif. Los Angeles County residents can take their debris and get it hauled away for free at select locations this weekend, Dec. 3-4, and next Saturday, Dec. 10.

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich of Los Angeles County has announced that a free disposal service will be made available to residents of the unincorporated communities.

Communities affected include La Crescenta, Altadena, Kinneloa Mesa, Pasadena/East San Gabriel, Citrus and East Charter Oak.

Residents have been urged to call before utilizing the service for instructions on how to prepare the debris for drop-off. Proof of residency is required.

You can drop off your tree debris for free at the following events:

La Crescenta:
Hauler – Allied Waste Services (888)742-5234
Location – Crescenta Valley Regional Park, 3901 Dunsmore Ave., La Crescenta
Dates - Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Altadena and Kinneloa Mesa:

Location – Charles Farnsworth Park (lower parking area), 568 East Mount Curve Ave., Altadena
Dates - Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

East Pasadena/East San Gabriel:
