A California woman is expected to enter a plea this morning to charges she severed a man's penis with a 10-inch kitchen knife and tossed it in a garbage disposal.

48-year-old Catherine Kieu is charged with felony torture and felony aggravated mayhem for the bloody, July 11 attack. According to Orange County prosecutors, Kieu and the 60-year-old victim lived together, and are said to have had an argument over a future houseguest's visit prior to the attack.

Authorities say Kieu, who may have drugged the victim, tied the man to a bed after he went to sleep, cut off his penis, and threw it into a garbage disposal.

Indicted Thursday by a county grand jury, Kieu is scheduled to enter a plea on Monday morning. With a sentencing enhancement for personal use of a knife, Kieu faces a possible life prison sentence if convicted.
