Woman found dead in parked car's passenger seat in Burbank, foul play suspected

Burbank police say foul play is suspected in the case of a woman found dead in the passenger seat of a parked car.

Sgt. Mike Parrinello says the body was discovered Friday evening in a residential neighborhood east of Bob Hope Airport.

Burbank Fire Department personnel were first on the scene and pronounced the woman dead.

The woman is described as a white female in her mid-30s. Her name has not been released.

"After further investigation, it was determined that a crime most likely occurred," Parrinello tells the Los Angeles Times.

An autopsy is pending Saturday. The women's identity was not released, pending notification of her next of kin.
