Only three are left in the Dodgers' bidding field, and the new owner of the Los Angeles baseball team could be decided by next week, the Los Angeles Times reports.

According to ESPN.com, the three finalists, a group led by hedge-fund billionaire Steven Cohen and Los Angeles billionaire and philanthropist Patrick Soon-Shiong; a group led by Magic Johnson and veteran baseball executive Stan Kasten; and St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke.

The L.A. Times said that Major League Baseball owners are expected to review and vote on the remaining three finalists early next week.

Frank McCourt has agreed to decide on a winning bidder by April 1, and the sale is to be closed by April 30.
