Los Angeles law enforcement and California Highway Patrol plan to up their drunk driving patrol efforts this Cinco de Mayo weekend, the Glendale Press reports.
Called "saturation patrols," the DUI checkpoints will begin at 6 p.m., lasting through the whole weekend.
“In this day and age, there is no excuse for driving drunk,” the office's director, Christopher J. Murphy, said in a statement.
