The L.A. County District Attorney’s office is charging 37-year-old Courtney Anthony Robinson with the attempted murder of three homeless people using a knife.
Robinson allegedly stabbed two men and a woman this month as they slept alone on the street. He left with each victim what police called “death warrants” — signed with the alias “David Ben Keyes.”
Police say without further explanation that Robinson attacked the victims for specific reasons. All three people survived the attacks. Police believe Robinson could be connected to two other stabbings in Santa Barbara.
A deputy district attorney is expected to ask a Los Angeles Superior Court judge Tuesday to keep Robinson in jail on $3 million bail.
