Los Angeles police are investigating death threats directed at Academy Award-nominated actress Ellen Page via Twitter, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The 25-year-old Canadian, whose starring role in 2007's "Juno" earned her an Oscar nomination for best actress, went to police after getting threatening messages in June. One message said: "I'm going to murder Ellen Page. She's Dead," according to the Times.
Police recently got a warrant to identify whoever sent the messages via two Twitter accounts, the Times reported.
The messages have since been removed.
Before the June 14th premiere of the Woody Allen film "To Rome with Love" at the Los Angeles Film Festival, someone with the nonprofit festival received a phone call from a man threatening Page, according to the Times.
