A crash involving a big rig and a pickup truck Tuesday morning blocked the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Baldwin Park and left two people hurt, the California Highway Patrol reported, according to a local wire service. It was expected to remain closed until about 11 a.m., NBC L.A. reported, but reopened by around 10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Times.
The big rig jackknifed, blocking the entire eastbound side of the highway.
The crash occurred about 7:20 a.m. at Baldwin Park Boulevard, said CHP Officer Monica Posada. Crews started diverting traffic onto the 605 Freeway at about 8:15 a.m., NBC L.A. reports.
Crews worked to remove the wreckage and clean up diesel fuel that spilled on to the roadway, Posada said.
