An Inland Empire man is in police custody after he allegedly killed his estranged partner and her two children. The fatal attack occurred a little before 7 a.m. in a single-story home near the 91 Freeway, says Riverside police lieutenant Guy Toussaint.
“When the officers arrived on scene they found three victims who had suffered multiple stab wounds. One was an adult female and two were minor children,” says Toussaint.
“Officers provided life saving efforts the victims were transported to a local hospital. However, the victims passed away.”
One of the young victims was a 1-year-old girl. The other a 4-year-old boy. Toussaint says the children’s mother was a 25-year-old Latina.
The alleged killer is believed to be the woman’s former boyfriend. It’s unclear whether he’s also the slain children’s father. Witnesses described the suspect to police after they saw a man speeding from the neighborhood in a car. Corona police officers later shot and wounded the suspect during a confrontation on a freeway overpass in Corona.
