Seven people were hospitalized following a collision between a Metro bus and a car on Venice Boulevard in Mid-City Los Angeles.
Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says two people in the car were seriously hurt, while five passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries.
L.A. police say preliminary evidence shows the car made an illegal left turn onto Venice from Spaulding Avenue just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday. The bus, which had a green light, was unable to avoid a crash.
The westbound lanes of Venice Boulevard at Spaulding were closed for about two hours.
