Investigators are still trying to determine that cause of a house fire that displaced nine Chapman University students over the weekend in the city of Orange.

The fire broke out around 8:30 Saturday night at an unofficial Chapman Greek house, unofficial because Chapman doesn’t have sanctioned housing for sororities and fraternities.

No one was injured in the two-alarm blaze.
The university contacted all the students who lived in the house to offer them alternative housing and meal plans. So far all the students have found other places to stay, with family and friends.
Chapman is also offering to assist the students with academic arrangements; some of the students reportedly lost class notes, papers and books in the fire.
