Gasoline prices continue to decline in Southern California, with the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular at $3.82 Wednesday in LA County.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline is $3.82 in Los Angeles County. The price continued its downward slide Wednesday and is at its lowest price since July. The record high of $4.70 was set October 9.

The Orange County average price decreased Wednesday to $3.78. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped to $3.78. The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 68 cents lower than one month ago.

The streak of dropping prices is good news for Thanksgiving holiday travelers. The Automobile Club of Southern California said about 3.3 million residents are taking vacations this week, about 87 percent of them by car.

The top five destinations for Southern California travelers are Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco, California's Central Coast and the Grand Canyon, the Auto Club reported.
