UPDATE 10:11 a.m.: The California Highway Patrol says traffic is moving again on the 188 Freeway after a fiery crash involving a big-rig that killed two people early Monday morning.
PREVIOUSLY: The California Highway Patrol says a fiery crash involving a big-rig and several cars has killed two people and snarled traffic on a Los Angeles freeway early Monday morning.
Officer Monica Posada says a car hit the truck at about 3:40 a.m. on westbound State Route 118 near the Reseda Boulevard exit in Granada Hills, according to NBC LA.
A second car hit the first car. The first car burst into flames and two people inside it died at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. The westbound lanes of the freeway are closed while investigators gather evidence.
