Police are still searching for Tobias Dustin Summers, another suspect in the case. They believe he may be in the San Diego area and may have since shaved his head.

An ambulance and fire truck were at the scene in Woodland Hills on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, where a young girl was found who had been reported missing.

Updated 1:59 p.m.: Police have arrested a suspect in connection with last week's kidnapping and assault of a 10-year-old girl from her family's home in Northridge, according to the LAPD.

LAPD spokesman Andrew Smith has identified the suspect as Daniel Martinez, 29, of West Hills, California. He was arrested in Northridge early yesterday morning. He's currently being held on a $1 million bail and could face a charge of kidnapping, according to Smith.

On Saturday, police identified Tobias Dustin Summers as a main suspect in the case. A recently-released LAPD news release said that police believe Summers may have fled to the San Diego area and may have shaved his head since.

Officer Smith says the relationship between the two identified suspects is still unclear.

“This kind of a case is very unusual here in Los Angeles and very unusual across the country as well,” Smith said.
