The construction work along I-405 in Los Angeles will bring another closure starting Saturday morning. (See map below.)
Crews will shut down a one-mile stretch of the northbound I-405 in West L.A. early Saturday, said Rick Jager with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
“Basically [the closure will be] from the I-10 freeway to Olympic Boulevard exit," said Jager. "They’ll be closing approximately 1 a.m. Saturday morning and hopefully opening back up by 6 a.m. Saturday."
Jager said another closure in the same area is scheduled overnight from Sunday to Monday.
Crews will put up concrete barriers and do other work to widen the freeway as part of the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project.
Northbound drivers can take a detour at Bundy Drive off the westbound 10 freeway, head north on Bundy, then east on Santa Monica Boulevard to get back to the 405.
Planners expect to reopen the 405 by 5 a.m. Monday, April 15.
