2.9 earthquake rocks Los Angeles's Westside

This USGS incident map shows the magnitude 3.0 quake that took place in West L.A. Thursday, May 9.

A 2.9 magnitude earthquake (revised down from an initially reported 3.0) was felt on the Westside Thursday afternoon, shortly after 2 p.m.

The earthquake was centered a couple of miles southeast of Marina del Rey, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

There have been no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
