The Los Angeles Clippers dropped coach Vinny Del Negro Tuesday, according to multiple reports, choosing not to extend his contract.

Del Negro confirmed the news via text message to the Los Angeles Times.

The Clippers had a strong season, with a Clippers record of 56 wins and a Pacific Division title win, but lost in the first round of this year’s Western Conference playoffs to the Memphis Grizzlies. They lost in six games after starting the series up two.

Del Negro’s overall record with the Clippers was 128–102, and he’s got a 210–184 career record between his coaching in L.A. and in Chicago with the Bulls.
