The L.A. Coroners Department says a woman who was found dead in the water tank of a downtown Los Angeles hotel drowned accidentally, NBC Los Angeles reported Thursday.

The body of Elisa Lam, a 21 year-old tourist from Vancouver, was found in a rooftop watertank the Cecil Hotel by maintenance staff after reports of low water pressure at the hotel. Her family had reported her missing several weeks before.

The autopsy report released Thursday in the death of Elisa Lam also lists "bipolar disorder" under other significant conditions.

The coroners department also reported the body had no sign of trauma indicating foul play. Footage from a hotel security camera captured images of Lam pressing buttons seemingly at random and talking to herself.

The hotel has an odd history, including brief stays by mass murderers Richard Ramirez and Jack Unterweger.
