Fifteen people are dead after an attack on a Shiite Muslim mosque in Pakistan.

Police say militants opened fire on the mosque, and then a suicide bomber detonated his explosives inside.

The attack took place in the city of Peshawar (puh-SHAH'-wuhr), which is on the outskirts of Pakistan's tribal area -- the main sanctuary for Islamic militants. They have targeted the city with scores of bombings in recent years.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
