Univision has cancelled Eddie "Piolín" Sotelo's syndicated morning radio show, "Piolín por la Mañana."

A Univision spokeswoman confirmed to KPCC that the show has been pulled, but the company would not give a reason for the cancellation.

Just last week, Piolín spoke to Take Two host A Martinez but gave no indication he knew the decision was coming.

Piolín, whose show reaches 3.5 million people every morning, was recently inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.

"It's a big blessing, especially because Larry King is going to be there, too. He's going to be hosting this great event, so that's going to be another dream come true," he told Martinez.

While Piolín is mostly about entertaining, he's also passionate about political issues like immigration. During the interview, he opened up to Martinez about his own long road from undocumented immigrant to U.S. citizen.
