A man was killed early Sunday when he got out of his disabled gray Scion for unknown reasons and was hit by a driver in a white Toyota 4Runner, reports NBC4.
The incident occurred on the off-ramp from the westbound Ventura (101) Freeway at Balboa Boulevard in Encino.
Two female passengers in the Scion were taken to hospitals — one in critical condition and the other with minor-to-moderate injuries, Officer Leland Tang, a spokesman with the California Highway Patrol, told NBC4.
The 4Runner's driver was identified as Robert Graves, 31, of Reseda, and booked into a Los Angeles jail, officials said. A female passenger in the 4Runner suffered minor injuries.
All lanes on westbound 101 Freeway in Encino have reopened following the incident.
