Birds fly across the sky at daybreak over the downtown Los Angeles skyline on December 14, 2011.
In between your weekend shopping excursions to find the best Halloween costume ever, take a break and enjoy the city like a true Angeleno. Consider drinks at the Rabbit Hole, live horse racing, the sounds of '60s funk or mysteries of old school Hollywood.
Here's everything you need to know:
Plush couches and vintage books cover the shelves of this dimly-lit bar sandwiched between local eateries and clubs in the San Gabriel Valley. The Rabbit Hole boasts a strong collection of cocktails and decor inspired by the characters of "Alice in Wonderland" — stop by this weekend for $2 beers during happy hour. Be sure to look at the ceiling: you'll be greeted by an upside-down lawn infested with bunnies and neon lamps.
Price: No entrance fee, but you might want to bring some cash if you're drinking for the night.
