A Southern California husband and wife dropped a fanny pack in a warehouse store and accidentally set off a gun inside it, leaving him with a bullet wound and both of them facing weapons charges.
Glendora police tell the San Gabriel Valley Tribune that 48-year-old Robert Duncan and his wife Helen Duncan were passing the small bag between them Sunday at Sam's Club when they dropped it and he was shot in the arm.
The couple drove themselves to a hospital in nearby San Dimas, where police found them and arrested them on suspicion of negligently discharging a firearm and carrying a handgun without a concealed-carry permit.
Police Sgt. Mike Randazzo tells the Los Angeles Times it's rare for guns to accidentally fire when dropped. It usually happens during cleaning.
