One man is dead and two deputies injured after a deputy-involved shooting in Inglewood early Tuesday morning.
The shooting occurred between sheriff's deputies and three suspects in the 3900 block of West Century Boulevard just after midnight, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Two of the deputies were hit by gunfire. One was treated by paramedics at the scene and the other was transported to a local hospital. Neither had injuries that were considered life-threatening.
The deputies arrested a man and a woman and said they recovered a handgun.
A sheriff's official would not say what led to the shooting or why deputies were in the area. Inglewood has its own police department.
