Many of us get our dose of holiday spirit while basking in the glow from houses decorated with string lights, plastic Santa Clauses, nativity scenes and more.

Where are the most festive blocks in Southern California? We turned to you for your suggestions, and you did not disappoint!

Annie Tang says she visits Gage Avenue in El Monte, Calif.

"It's been known for decades in my town as THE place to go for Christmas lights viewing. The brightness actually hurts your eyes as you drive by at night," Tang told us via our Public Insight Network

On our Facebook page, Frances Lawrence said the "Sleepy Hollow" neighborhood in South Torrance is an "amazing" option.

He advises entering at Pacific Coast Highway and Robert Road. "If you have the time, best to walk the whole neighborhood," Lawrence wrote. "It's a big neighborhood. Take your time and enjoy!" And for a taste of what to expect, he shared this video from 2011.

Another popular destination is Hastings Ranch in Pasadena, where Jairo Medal said there is oftentimes a singing chorus and real-life Santa Claus distributing candy.

Thanks to you, our listeners, for submitting tips! Here's a map of all the great spots you suggested.
