You can find printable applications in the three languages if you click on the "Languages" link or the "Coverage/Getting Covered" links on the Covered California homepage. But the site only provides one of two applications consumers might need in these languages. The Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese-language applications on the site are for people who qualify for Medi-Cal or for federal subsidies to cut the cost of their private policies. The website does not have applications in these languages for people who do not qualify for subsidies. Those are still available only in English and Spanish.
Covered California spokeswoman Lizelda Lopez said the agency is still working on creating the Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese-language applications for unsubsidized policies. She was unable to say when they will be available.
Initially, the link to the Vietnamese application was broken if one tried to access it through the "Getting Covered" page, which is reached through the "Coverage" portal on the homepage. After KPCC informed Covered California of the problem, the agency corrected it.
