A 27-year-old suffered injuries to his back and an arm Friday when he became trapped under a Metro Red Line train in Hollywood, authorities said.
The man became trapped at the Hollywood Boulevard/Vine Street Station at about 4:45 p.m., Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The man, who was not entangled with the train, was removed by firefighters and taken to a hospital in fair condition, Humphrey said.
A preteen girl who suffered anxiety after witnessing the incident was examined at the scene, according to Humphrey.
It was unclear how the man ended up under the train.
