Flights canceled at LAX due to East Coast storms

The stormy weather on the East Coast prompted the cancellation today of 28 flights at Los Angeles International Airport.

Nine scheduled arriving flights and 19 scheduled departing flights were canceled this morning, said Marshall Lowe of Los Angeles World Airports, the city agency that operates the facility.

Passengers were advised to check with their airlines on the status of their flights.
