"Jamzilla" was slow make an impact Saturday morning, but my late morning it had started jamming up the 10 Freeway, according to a local wire service.
The northbound 405 Freeway is squeezed down to just two lanes between the Getty Center and Ventura over Presidents' Day weekend. Ramps onto the northbound 405 Freeway were closed from either direction of the 10 Freeway in West Los Angeles, prompting some delay as unexpecting motorists swerved or braked in confusion, according to a local wire service.
Six miles to the north, the closure of three of the five northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway backed up traffic to Wilshire Boulevard, the wire service reports -- about two miles. Between the 10 Freeway and Wilshire Boulevard, both directions of the 405 were flowing freely and were lightly travelled.
