Metro says good progress is being made on road construction on the 405 freeway in the Sepulveda Pass that’s been dubbed “Jamzilla.”

Two of the four northbound lanes on the San Diego Freeway between Mulholland and Ventura Boulevard reopened Monday morning ahead of schedule.
Metro spokesman Dave Sotero, who coined the term “Jamzilla,” says the contractor is still laying down pavement.
“That will continue all day today. We do have a directional closure tonight on the northbound 405 - it's the very last closure during the nighttime hours that we need for this specific operation.”
All lanes on the northbound 405 are expected to re-open no later than 6 a.m. Tuesday. Metro recommends giving extra time if you're going through the Sepulveda Pass while it's open - or find another way into the Valley.
