A magnitude 3.9 earthquake that shook some of Los Angeles' suburbs generally went unnoticed by residents.
There were no reports of damage or injuries caused by the temblor that struck at 8:12 a.m. Saturday.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake was centered about 16 miles northwest of Santa Clarita, which is about 35 miles from Los Angeles.
Sgt. Delicia Hernandez says the Santa Clarita sheriff's station received no reports of injuries or damage.
Hernandez says she didn't feel the quake and had heard from only one person who did.
