This is it. It's all come down to public radio game show "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me" facing off against the science meets editing wizardry of "Radiolab" in the 2014 KPCC Public Radio Bracket Madness tournament.
"Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me" felled its upstart opponent "Snap Judgment," which had turned out its listeners to make it the champion of the Western conference in a victory over "The Dinner Party Download." It previously had one of the closest battles of the tournament with a come-from-behind victory over San Francisco's "99% Invisible" and beating KPCC's own "Take Two" in the first round.
Meanwhile, "Radiolab" had to take out the Lower Northeastern conference winner "Fresh Air" and interviewer Terry Gross to make it to the finals. They previously battled shows including "Studio 360," "On The Media" and "The Moth Radio Hour."
Who will win in the finals? "Wait Wait" had a tougher fight going into the finals, but the show that took out "Wait Wait" last year was eventual winner "This American Life," so with Ira Glass and his crew out this year as reigning champions, can "Wait Wait" take it all the way? Or will last year's runner-ups, "Radiolab," finally take the throne?
Voting is open until Sunday, April 6 at midnight and we'll be talking about the winner the next morning on "Take Two." There are two ways to vote:
