Update 10:54 a.m. Students at Alhambra High School have been given the clearance to return to campus following a report of a gas smell earlier Tuesday morning.

Previously: Authorities have not found the source of a reported gas smell that prompted the evacuation of Alhambra High School.
Police and fire officials along with a hazmat crew are sweeping the campus as a precaution Tuesday morning.
In a post on its Facebook page, Alhambra police said nothing has been found that would indicate a critical or hazardous situation exists.
Students gathered on a campus ball field after someone reported smelling gas in a classroom before school started.
Police limited traffic on the streets surrounding the suburban school east of Los Angeles.
