Brand Fire: 3 minor injuries reported; 150-acre fire now 30 percent contained

Firefighters managed to hold a brush fire burning near Brand Park in the Glendale area to 150 acres overnight and reached 30 percent containment. 

Three people have sustained minor injuries in the Brand Fire, which was burning into the canyons Monday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Glendale Fire Department.

About 100 personnel were deployed to combat the fire.

No evacuations are planned, and firefighters hoped to get a perimeter around the fire by afternoon.

Crews used a bulldozer from the city of Los Angeles to dig a perimeter around the fire during the night, according to The Associated Press.
