Is it the weekend yet? As you tackle your last few hours of work, start thinking about how much fun you're going to have drinking beer, creating a tiny museum and eating endless bacon — because it's all happening in Los Angeles this weekend.

2. Run + Yoga + Beer

Start your Sunday with a good sweat. Angel City Brewery wants to help you keep in shape. Who would have thought? Join the downtown L.A. staple for its weekly workout, which begins with a two-mile run around the neighborhood followed by a Vinyasa flow yoga class. Top off your productive morning with a delicious beer.

3. "Purple Rain" at New Beverly Cinema

Night owls, see Prince on the big screen in his first (and best) motion picture Saturday. New Beverly Cinema is hosting a midnight showing of "Purple Rain" for the flick's 30th anniversary. Brace yourself for 111 minutes of '80s bliss — the cult classic includes several extended concert sequences.

4. Pickle Fest

Shop for fresh produce at the Beverly Hills Farmers Market — and eat tons of pickles along the way! Sunday's Pickle Fest features a petting zoo, a pickle toss, crafts and contests. 

When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday

5. LA Museum of Kids Art

Made in L.A. 2014 artist Alice Könitz created a one-room museum to display her friends’ art. She calls it the Los Angeles Museum of Art. In this workshop at Hammer Museum, Könitz shows families how to create their own tiny museums inspired by art. Pro tip: Here's more info on visiting the Hammer Museum with kids.

6. Bootie LA: Michael Jackson Night

This one is going to be a thriller. Join Bootie L.A. for a night of moonwalking to Michael Jackson remixes. DJs Faroff and Voicedude have enlisted R.A.I.D dancers for onstage eye candy. Consider brushing up on MJ's best moves and be sure to stick around for the Midnight Mashup Show with Noel Beltran as Michael Jackson. 

When: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

7. Shop and walk DTLA

Explore the architecture of downtown L.A. while getting great deals on food and fashion. We suggest starting your day at The Must for brunch followed by shopping at Beautiful Ful, The Last BookstoreHarper and Haus of Love. Reenergize with a beverage from Sustain Juicery before grabbing a treat for your pet at Pussy & Pooch (and maybe something for yourself at Lab 3). 8. Weekend Splurge: Big Bit Bacon Fest

Vegetarians, cover your ears. Everyone else, let's bring home the bacon! Get ready for a day of more than 40 bacon and pork infused dishes — plus, endless craft beer. General admission ($45) to the Big Bite Bacon Fest in Long Beach Saturday includes unlimited bacon tasting and 10 3 oz. cold brews. Other food items include sausage, mac and cheese, beer, ice cream, cupcakes and so much more. Here's a taste:
