Dunkin’ Donuts opened its first California restaurant location in Modesto last week, according to the company’s website.

The chain also has locations at Camp Pendleton and a San Diego Embassy Suites, but the Modesto and Santa Monica locations are considered its first full-fledged restaurants in the state.

Dunkin’s dark roast coffee debuts at the Santa Monica and Modesto restaurants Tuesday before going to locations nationwide Sept. 22.
