About 600 employees are expected to return to work at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino on Monday where just over a month ago a mass shooting left 14 people dead.

A press conference was being held at the IRC Monday morning.

Increased security measures have been put in place since the massacre, including a locked fence and police checkpoint that employees will be required to go through before being given entry to the complex.

Once at work, center employees will have the option to talk with grief counselors about the tragic events that occurred on and since Dec. 2.

"There will be a series of team meetings. They'll have food in all the lounges," Inland Regional Center spokeswoman Leeza Hoyt told KPCC.

The conference center where the shooting occurred will remain closed. Hoyt said officials haven't decided whether it will reopen.

Gov. Jerry Brown is also expected to attend a private memorial service for victims of the shooting in Ontario on Monday afternoon.
